Time For A Spring Clean For Your Business

When tough times hit it is the time to regroup and work with the positives, and there are more positives than just petrol prices! Now is the time to reassess or revamp. It’s a time for A SPRING CLEAN FOR YOUR BUSINESS!

Dust off your debtors list, spend some time working out which should be relegated to the ‘round filing cabinet’ and which ones can be turned into cash. Being proactive with debtors can reap rewards.
If your debtors are no longer around your answer is simple, but, there may be those put in the too hard basket…. Investing in professionals to cash in your debtors may be one of the best investments you make in these challenging times.
Assess your staffing needs, retrench and introduce flexibility in your business. The timing is right and the legislation still gives employers a chance to restructure their workforce.
Determine who should be made redundant. Look at performance and expect nothing less than the standards you set. Challenge your staff to meet your goals.
Review your organisation’s human resources planning, look at forecasting for the future needs and skills. You may need professional help to guide you through the restructure and termination process.
Now is also a key time to focus on areas of your business that are thriving and move resources into those areas and away from less profitable areas of operation. Invest time in human development.
Perhaps now is the time to analyse your business to ensure its structure is the most tax effective and at the same time protect your personal assets. Review your terms and conditions of trade to ensure that you are paid at the end of the hard days work. Look at strategic acquisitions. Confider if now is the time to expand!
Ensure your business is slick and clean and sparkles during the tough times. Those business that sparkle will be noticed and kick the goals.
GOOD LUCK WITH CLEANING!
